The aim of this workshop is to provide attendants with technical skills and computational tools in order to create and interpret multi-trait models. More precisely, we will introduce multi-trait matrices and their general usefulness in evolutionary demography; illustrated by a few models that we will construct together (for instance age and stage, models incorporating fixed-heterogeneity, kinship or trade-offs). Then after introducing the trait level analysis allowing measuring the evolutionary and demographic importance of traits, we will perform this analysis on the previously constructed matrices. In particular, we will show how to extract important metrics from (multi-trait) matrices (e.g. vital rates, selection gradients and lifetime reproductive success and its variance
